All Aboard for the Second Annual Train & Trolley Fest at Powerland Heritage Park: Celebrating 50 Years of Willow Creek Railroad!
BROOKS, OR – June 17, 2025. Get ready for a day of unparalleled family fun and a journey back in time. The Second Annual Train & Trolley Fest is set to roll into Powerland Heritage Park on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This year’s festival promises an even more expansive celebration of everything trains and trolleys, with exciting new additions and a special milestone: the 50th anniversary of the Willow Creek Railroad!
Building on the overwhelming success of its inaugural year, the Train & Trolley Fest is a premier event for rail enthusiasts, fun seekers, and families. It offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich transportation history of Oregon and the world. Visitors will enjoy unlimited rides on a historic double-decker trolley and 1/8th scale trains, delve into fascinating exhibits, and participate in engaging activities designed for all ages.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome everyone back for our second annual Train & Trolley Fest," said Joe Tracy, the Event Coordinator. "Last year’s event was a tremendous success, and we've worked hard to make this year even better, with new activities like our scavenger hunt and the addition of a great garden railway display. It's a fantastic opportunity for families to connect with history and create lasting memories."
A highlight of this year's festival is the momentous 50th anniversary of the Willow Creek Railroad. For half a century, Willow Creek Railroad has been a cornerstone of Powerland Heritage Park, offering visitors a small-scale glimpse into the golden age of railroading with its impressive 1/8th-scale steam and diesel-powered replicas.
"Fifty years is a remarkable milestone for Willow Creek Railroad, and we are thrilled to celebrate it at this year's Train & Trolley Fest," remarked Scott Johnson of Willow Creek Railroad. "From our humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a treasured attraction, sharing the magic, fascination, and history of trains with generations. This anniversary is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and the enduring appeal of these magnificent machines. We can't wait to share our passion with more visitors than ever before."
