The Saint Benedict Festival is a unique opportunity to join the monks of Mount Angel Abbey and other guests for a summer afternoon of prayer, feasting, and friendship. The festival begins with midday prayer at noon in the Abbey church with the monks followed by a buffet picnic lunch on the Abbey lawn. With their festival entry, guests can enjoy two servings of local wine or Benedictine Brewery beer with their picnic lunch. Other festival highlights include special exhibits and presentations about monastic life, iconography, organ recitals, and lawn games. The festival concludes at 4 pm with a procession with a statue of St. Benedict followed by vespers in the Abbey church. The Saint Benedict Festival is for adults 21 and older.
