Cheer on students from 18+ high schools across Oregon as they compete in the Future Natural Resource Leaders (FNRL) State Convention Skills Contest. This hands-on, action-packed event showcases the skills and knowledge students develop through natural resource and forestry programs.

Spectators are welcome - bleachers will be available, and food vendors will be on site, making it a great family-friendly outing.

Skills events include:

  • Compass & Pacing

  • First Aid

  • Log Scaling

  • Arbor Climb

  • Axe Throw

  • Cable Splicing

  • Choker Setting

  • Crosscut

  • Fire Hose Lay

  • Powerbuck

  • Pole Climbing

  • Log Roll

  • Note: Participants must be part of an FNRL program to compete.

    Hosted by the Pacific Northwest Logging Museum, this event celebrates education, teamwork, and Oregon’s natural resource heritage.
